My Insights about Tuesdays With Morrie

“Because if you've found meaning in your life, you don't want to go back. You want to go forward.”
This quotation changed my perception about the meaning of life. I told myself that I should try to forget all the bad things that occured to me because the future awaits a better chance for us. We are molded with our past and motivated with our present so that as the future beckons, we are ready. We always want to go back and fix the mess, but the real thing is, learning from our mistakes hone us to be the best person. We should accept the past for what it is without discarding it because at one point, the past is the reason of what we are now and why are we still here.
The true meaning of our life is how we ready ourselves with the future—with death.

Life goes on with or without the things that you want. You go, laugh, cry, strive, find, lose, detach, devote, move on, learn, let go, win, lose, try, sacrifice, surrender, and finally, you die. Death is an inch away if you don’t know how to live life. Everything is impermanent; everyone is impermanent so we should take all the risks in order to have a happy and productive life. We shouldn’t be stuck into the things that will waste its precious time because one day, regrets would welcome us as we die. We are given life by God, our challenge is to make it alive by having a purpose and learning how to love.

Death, therefore, is the key to having life.
